IAM RoadSmart, the UK's premier independent road safety organisation, recently published its annual Driving Safety Culture survey. They found that:
90% of UK drivers were affected by potholes over the past year
32% of drivers altered their routes to avoid them
16% of drivers reported a pothole to the authorities.
The daily hassle of dealing with potholes is increasing the stress and expense of owning a car for the drivers. Road maintenance operators are increasingly using mobility data to pinpoint infrastructure problems: saving both time and resources.
